Brent joined Luminous in 2023 to manage its organic growth. He also guides the consultancy’s work with clients across the growing number of adopters of its insights and capabilities. His goal is always to focus on patient centricity and the critical nature of social determinants of health for clinical research, pre-commercial and commercial applications. Brent loves growing and enhancing corporate fiscal, human and technical capacities, and doing so with integrity and kindness.

Experience and achievements

• Over 20 years driving transformation and growth using insights and drawing on his passion for data, change management, compliance and user experience (including better patient outcomes) 

• Worked in capacity as a senior advisor, officer and board member in private and public enterprises across multiple industries, including public health and safety 

• Co-founded a B2B SaaS life-sciences tech company that was globally recognised for its award-winning, patient-centric app for data collection in clinical trials. It achieved annualized revenue growth and secured venture capital funding, as well as certifications for HIPAA, GDPR, Good Clinical Practices (GCP/GAMP), and SOC2 

• Has worked with global brands and influential organizations such as City of New York, AT&T, Johnson & Johnson, Genentech, Novo Nordisk  

• Holds an MBA/MSIA/Operations Research from Carnegie Mellon University, and a BA in math from Whitman College

• Has completed certifications in deep learning and supervised learning regression models in AI leadership
